When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me....
The stand by me lyrics immediately came to mind as we ventured out to photograph these brothers. I have a girl so my world is filled with pink everything and seldom do I think about how it must be like to raise a boy. But after this session, I can say that having a boy must be one of the greatest things ever. I can imagine days filled with frogs and mud puddles, where super heros come alive in a moments notice. And I know boys have a lot of energy which I find quite honestly inspiring. The joy to leap and climb without reservation about getting dirty must be so much fun. Ah, really I wanted to take them home with me. I loved how much big brother really looked after little brother. They are indeed best friends. And what could make a mom more happy or proud than to have two sweet children that get along.
We had a great time, and as a side note, this location was a dead end with no thru traffic. I don't condone taking children out on streets or even rail road tracks for that matter. If your a photographer, consider looking for locations in which you are absolutely confidant that are safe and fun to take portraits at.

Great shots. The red head is sooooooo cute.

Likewise, a lot of creatives are going freelance because agencies don't want to pay account handlers / planners / project managers. Speaking to the person who does the work is appealing, hence the increasing number of tiny, new creative shops.
